Took the 3-hour ATV adventure. Before we began Andres made sure our helmets fit correctly and we were safe in operating the ATV before heading out on all the trails, up a mountain, two beaches. Got to enjoy local Costa Rica ice cream at one of the beaches. Andres was knowledgeable about edible fruits and plants that he’d find and share with us. They’re bilingual in English/Spanish. They provided lockers to lock up my bag. Rates were very reasonable and insurance was only $20 to cover any damage to the ATV. They provided water and fresh fruit at the end of the ride. I was nervous initially as I’d never driven an ATV. My 17 year old had his own ATV and my 15 year old was on the back of mine (too young to drive). Luis initially trained us and we did a couple of training laps to check our skills. Then we went out, into the jungle, through a few rivers and out on the beach. Luis judged our comfort level well and as we gained confidence we went faster and through rougher terrain. Overall, a great experience. Everyone, including my 15 year old passenger had fun and Luis was a fantastic guide.
